What Our Alliance Expects Of You

We are a casual alliance. You decide when and where you want to participate. None of our leadership thinks they are an actual Star Fleet Captain like some of these no-lifer Admirals.

That being said, We expect every last single attack you make to be within the Rules of Enguagement for S-719 (covered in one of the sections below).

If you need help ASK. There is no such thing as a dumb question here. We will aide you however we can.

We shy away from talking schitt in GC. It causes nothing but issues, you will eventually feel out your limits here.

No Politics or social issue bull schitt. Nobody here gives two shits who you voted for, we are here to play a game and be friends.

Don't bully anyone unless they have bullied you or we are at war.

Don't sexually harrass alliance members. Yes some of them are hotties. Stay Respectful.

The Most Important Aspect

The first thing I have to say about game play is RESEARCH. Research is your #1 source for your Power and ability to do just about everything. It is the #1 most important aspect of this game. It is highly recommended that you finish all research before raising to the next ops levels. We are not in a race to the top. That creates weak game accounts that lose easily. The game isn't going anywhere. We do the scooping around here. We don't get scooped.

Rules of Engagement

Surviving PvP Politics

We are a R.O.E alliance. Meaning we follow S-41 ROE rules. I'll cover them now.

Zero NodesA zero (0) node can be hit. This is a mining node that has zero resources left on it. You do not need to give the player a warning.
Over Protected Content (OPC)If a player is over their protected content when you scan them, you are 100% allowed to hit them. If they are on a mining node, no warning is needed. The mining node does NOT have to also be a 0 node. It's either/or not both. If the player is floating, it is courtesy to give a 3m warning.
FloatersTechnically these can be hit. But most are either grinding EXP for their ship, ITEMS for their upgrades and game play, and other thing. It's recomended you kinda leave these people alone. You're going to need to do the same thing one day, and they are going to remember. So, It's your choice. Do you feel like being a prick today? Use Discretion and observation to decern if they are harvesting or just floating in the middle of nowhere.
War TimeIF your alliance has openly declared WAR on another alliance. ROE IS SUSPENDED FOR THAT ALLIANCE ONLY. YOU will know an enemy by a red symbol next to thir alliance name in their game tag. Smash them anywhere at any time. LET LEADERSHIP HANDLE THE NEGOTIATIONS. AND STAY SHIELDED.
Friendly/Allied Alliances Do Not Hit Friendly Targets. This game is driven on allies and friends. Eventually you're going to need help from other alliances. It's how the cookie crumbles. So do NOT hit friendly or allied alliances.

This is a list of alliance Diplomacy Symbols that will display next to a players tags letting you know what our diplomacy is with that alliance. No symbol means we are 100% neutral with that alliance.

  • πŸ’œ Allied: A purple heart icon; full non-aggression and mutual support.
  • πŸ–– Friendly: A purple hand icon; generally leave them alone, don't attack, even if they have unprotected cargo.
  • βšͺ Civil: Not a primary target, sometimes cooperate during takeovers.
  • ⚠️ Caution: An orange caution symbol; indicates an annoying player or someone to watch.
  • 🎯 Unfriendly / Enemy: Red target sign; declared war, can be attacked on sight (KOS).

Research

The Importance Of Research

Research the the #1 most important aspect of the game. It controls everything from the power of the defense of your station, warp speed, specialty ship abilities, and even game features like Away Missions. For this reason it is recomended you upgrade all the research that you can before upgrading your ops level.

Because this is so important to what kind of experiance you will have while playing STFC I HIGHLY recomend buying the extra research ques. If you get them before ops 10 it is a simple $5 after that though it is $20 but still 100% worth it. Not only will this improve the quality of your gaming experiance, it'll suport the developers of the game. It's a win/win.

Understanding Research Paths

Research not only has research sections, those sections have reseach paths. If you are wanting to work on a spacific type of research, let's use warp speed as an example, you click on 'Warp Technology' in the 'Galaxy' Research Section, it is going to have dependancies.

To be able to upgrade this you have to upgrade the dependancies by simply clicking on the "GO" button. Follow this method till you reach a research path node that is upgradable. Repeat this process until you can upgrade your target technology. It's pretty much that simple.

Efficiancy

It is recomended that you use your speed up sparingly throughout all aspect of the game. So when should you use speed ups for reseach? Durring events that give you rewards for gaining power via research or building upgrades, and during event that give you rewards for spending G2, G3, G4, G5 ect. Materials.

I also recomend only using the amount of speedups and G* materials to finish the events and let your research mature naturally when it isn't a benefit to you. This way you never run out of speedies when it matters.

Remember we are in no rush to max out. The game is not going anywhere. I will take 1 ops 30 with maxed out research any day over 5 rushed ops 40s. You are going to get powerful, but be powerful along your road to high ops level too. Don't give anyone who would try a hit you a reason to think "oh look how weak this dude is. let's eat him." I want you to do the scooping, not the one getting scooped.

Upgrading

Stations, Ships, and Efficiency

Upgrading any moduals in your base, and your ships, is pretty simple. You will need Meterials, Resources, and for some buildings/ships special items like Armada Tactical Cores, or Spore Drive Components.

Efficiancy

I know the urge to instantly level your ships/moduals when you can is the ultamate temptation. As Val once said to me, chasing the carrot. But, here like research, there are several events a week where upgrading ships and station moduals give you a good kickback. That said, you want to interconnect as many events to upgrades as you can at one time. For instance, there will be events that happen together like gaining power & spending G* Matrials coinciding. Use these oportunities to your advantage and couple them with upgrades that will achieve the maximum reward output with the shortest material and RSS expendature to complete the events.

TIPS

GAINING POWER: The base modual upgrade that give you the most power is your drydocks and your defense platforms.

G* MATERIALS: The Modual When You Spend The Most G* Materials are your Ops Center, your R&D Department, And the moduals around it. Ships vary from ship to ship so you'll have to swap ships and find the ones most beneficial.

Finding Missions

Where And How To Locate Missions

You would think that the STFC Database is the most efficiant way to find missions. And although it is a very powerful tool, it is NOT the most efficiant way to find missions.

So what is the most efficiant way?

Exploring Systems. Explore every last single system you can, and even revisit them later on as planets with no missions now, may have missions later. Say you're in a system and there are other systems that branch from that system, take the extra couple minutes to visit the systems around it.

You are going to find missions you can accept and take in these systems that are not part of the main questline. Some of the missions lead to mission paths that are very rewarding, open more mission paths, and open systems/locations within the game like special refineries and ships etc.

How And What To Use The STFC Missions Database For

Like I said before, this is a very powerful tool and should come in super handy quite often. There are many many reasons to use it but I will go over a couple with you. Finding missions you may have missed, finding missions with spacific rewards, and finding faction missions.

First, let's set a parameter in the search criteria for warp range to filter out missions you can't accept yet. As illistrated below you want to change the number on both warp fields to your ships maximum warp. Leave the begining number the default 0.

Next we can also filter missions by reward type. Materials, RSS, Officer Shards, BluePrints, etc. We do this with the dropdown higlighted in the image below. This allows you to target missions for spacific rewards/items. This kicks so much ass.

Next we can also target missions via Factions as showing in the photo below.

These parameters can be mixed and matched. The more you use the database the easier it will be for you to manipulate it's results to find exactly waht you're looking for.

🎯 Maximizing Event Rewards

Events in Star Trek Fleet Command are one of the fastest ways to gain resources, speedups, blueprints, officer shards, and premium currencies. Playing them correctly can drastically accelerate your progression.

πŸ“¦ 1. Never Rush β€” Stack First

Do not immediately spend resources when an event starts. Stockpile speedups, materials, hostiles, and officer upgrades so you can complete multiple events at once.

πŸ”„ 2. Double-Dip Whenever Possible

Always look for overlapping events. Smart timing allows you to earn rewards from several events with the same actions:

  • πŸš€ Ship upgrades during Power Increase events
  • 🧠 Research during Research SLB or Spend Events
  • πŸ’₯ Killing hostiles that count toward multiple objectives

πŸ† 3. Focus on Milestones, Not Leaderboards

Milestone rewards are consistent and reliable. Leaderboards often favor whales and can drain resources quickly. If you place naturally, great β€” but never chase ranks at the expense of long-term progress.

⏱️ 4. Time Your Spending

Save large upgrades (ships, buildings, officers) for events that specifically reward those actions. A single upgrade can sometimes complete multiple milestones at once.

🀝 5. Use Alliance Coordination

Alliance events and takeovers are far easier with coordination. Communicate with your alliance to avoid wasted effort and maximize shared rewards.

🚫 6. Know When to Skip

Not every event is worth doing. If rewards are weak or you are low on resources, skip it. Smart skipping is just as important as smart spending.

πŸ’‘ Rule of Thumb: If an action doesn’t complete an event milestone, it’s usually better to wait.

πŸ›°οΈ Away Assignments

Away Assignments are one of the most reliable sources of resources, officer shards, and critical materials in Star Trek Fleet Command. While the rewards may seem small at first, long-term consistency makes a massive difference.

⏰ 1. Consistency Equals Progress

Always keep your Away Assignment slots active. Even low-tier missions add up quickly over time, especially for resources and officer shards.

🧠 2. Match Officers to Mission Traits

Assign officers whose traits match the mission requirements. Higher trait scores increase success chance and improve rewards.

πŸ” 3. Short Missions First

Prioritize shorter assignments when you are active so you can cycle missions more frequently. Save long missions for overnight or offline periods.

🎁 4. Focus on High-Value Rewards

As you progress, target assignments that reward officer shards, uncommon materials, or faction credits rather than basic resources.

🚫 5. Avoid Failed Missions

Failed assignments waste time and officers. If your success chance is low, wait or swap officers instead of gambling the slot.

πŸ’‘ Rule of Thumb: If an assignment has a low success chance or weak rewards, skip it and refresh when possible.

πŸš€ Ship Blueprints

Ship Blueprints are required to construct new ships and expand your fleet. Collecting them efficiently ensures your fleet stays competitive.

🎯 1. Event Rewards

Look for events that reward ship blueprints as milestones. Focus on completing tasks that give blueprints for ships you want to build.

πŸ›’ 2. Scopely Store Purchases

Some blueprints are available for purchase in the Scopely store using credits, keys, or premium currency. Prioritize ships that fit your current fleet strategy.

πŸ’₯ 3. Away Assignments

Certain away missions reward ship blueprints. Assign officers with the right traits to maximize success rates and blueprint rewards.

🀝 4. Alliance Takeovers & PvP

Participate in alliance takeovers and PvP events that provide blueprint rewards. Coordinated attacks often yield rare or high-tier blueprints.

πŸ’‘ Rule of Thumb: Always check which ships you need and plan assignments/events to maximize the blueprint rewards efficiently.

☠️ WAR

Declaring war in is one of the most impactful actions your alliance can take. War affects your alliance, resources, and reputation across the galaxy. Understanding preparation, rules, and consequences is crucial for survival and success.

βš”οΈ 1. Declaring War

War is typically declared through alliance agreements or formal declarations. Make sure your alliance leadership communicates clearly which alliances are targets. Uncoordinated war can lead to wasted resources and heavy losses. Confirm the alliance designation has been correctly made.

πŸ›‘οΈ 2. Preparation
  • πŸ› οΈ Upgrade Ships & Officers: Ensure your fleet is battle-ready.
  • πŸ“¦ Stockpile Resources: Speedies and Lat are vital during prolonged wars.
  • πŸ›°οΈ Recon & Intel: Scan enemy bases to know their defenses.
  • 🀝 Coordinate with Allies: Share target lists.
  • πŸ•’ Time Your Attacks: Hit enemy stations when they are offline for maximum effect.
πŸ’₯ 3. Engagement Rules

During war, the Rules of Engagement (ROE) are suspended for the target alliance:

  • 🎯 All enemy players can be attacked on sight (KOS – Kill On Sight).
  • 🚫 OPC (Over Protected Content) rules do not apply for the enemy alliance.
  • πŸ’£ Mining nodes and unprotected resources can be targeted freely.
  • ⚠️ Floating players may be hit on sight without warning, war trumps courtesy.
🏹 4. Offensive Strategies
  • πŸš€ Focus attacks on high-value targets (Ones with a schitt ton of resources).
  • πŸ—ΊοΈ Coordinate simultaneous strikes to overwhelm defenses if needed.
  • πŸ›‘οΈ Exploit gaps in enemy shield discipline.
  • πŸ“Š Track damage and progress through alliance Discord.
πŸ›‘οΈ 5. Defensive Strategies
  • πŸ›‘ Activate shields when offline or low on resources.
  • βš”οΈ Keep a defensive fleet docked to counter raiders.
  • 🀝 Coordinate with allies for reinforcement.
⚠️ 6. Consequences
  • πŸ’₯ Lost RSS, Speedups, and LAT β€” war is costly and may require healing.
  • πŸ”₯ Reputation Impact β€” Make sure you're goiung to war for the right reasons. You never want to be seen as the scumbags.
  • πŸ† Rewards β€” successful wars can gain territory, bragging rights for your alliance, and huge RSS gains.

πŸ’‘ Rule of Thumb: War should never be entered lightly. Proper preparation, coordination, and timing are essential. Know your enemies, protect your resources, and strike strategically to maximize gains while minimizing losses.
